ABOUT
HAQQ Original is the fine art practice of Haqq.
Working across photography, silk screen, acrylic, and gold leaf, the work investigates power, value, memory, and permanence. Each piece begins with a photographic foundation and evolves through layered intervention, building physical depth alongside conceptual weight.
Recurring motifs include architecture, currency, aviation, portraiture, and symbols of ceremony. These elements function as visual studies of aspiration, hierarchy, stability, and fracture. A house becomes a structure of ambition and concealment. A banknote becomes a meditation on constructed value. A figure becomes both subject and archive.
Gold leaf is applied as a marker of emphasis and power. It signals worth while questioning how worth is assigned. Silk screen introduces repetition and imprint, echoing both commerce and cultural transmission. Acrylic disrupts and reframes the surface. Photography anchors the narrative in lived reality. Each material carries meaning.
The work engages with Atlantic histories, systems of finance, migration, and inherited narratives of success. It considers how wealth is symbolized, how legacy is constructed, and how identity is negotiated within structures that predate the present moment.
Every original is produced as a singular work. Limited editions are tightly controlled, with scale, finish, and material integrity treated as extensions of the concept itself.
HAQQ Original presents contemporary work concerned with permanence, authorship, and the architecture of value.
